Adi is an experienced and committed education professional, currently working as an Improvement Adviser alongside his role as a contracted inspector for Ofsted. With a career spanning a range of educational contexts, he brings deep insight, practical expertise, and a strong moral purpose to his work with schools and school leaders.
Prior to joining The Education People, Adi served as Headteacher of a school in an area of high deprivation, leading sustained, year‑on‑year improvement across a wide range of areas. This experience has given him a thorough understanding of the complex challenges faced by headteachers and senior leaders, and he is driven by a strong desire to support them through demanding and often high‑pressure periods.
As an experienced Headteacher, Adi has mentored and supported other headteachers, drawing on his practical leadership experience and reflective approach. He is deeply passionate about securing the very best provision for disadvantaged pupils and is committed to tackling educational and social inequality, recognising the transformative role that schools can play in shaping life chances.
Adi is strongly committed to evidence‑based school improvement. His particular professional interest lies in leadership and leadership development, with a clear passion for coaching school leaders to navigate both day‑to‑day operational challenges and longer‑term strategic priorities, while developing effective and sustainable leadership styles.
His curriculum expertise is centred on English and assessment. As a teacher, Adi was a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) for English and assessment, and he has previously held roles as a Primary Literacy Adviser for the National Literacy Trust. During his time at The Education People, he has also worked as Lead Adviser for assessment and moderation across Kent, supporting schools to strengthen practice and ensure high‑quality outcomes for pupils.
