Claire Reay

Claire is a Participant Engagement Officer for Kent and Medway, working directly with individuals to ensure they feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their journey to employment. She plays a key role in engaging participants, removing barriers to involvement, and ensuring services are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to individual needs.

Alongside her engagement role, Claire brings over four years’ experience as a trainer and coach from her previous position. This background strengthens her ability to support individuals effectively, using coaching approaches to build confidence, develop skills, and encourage positive, sustainable progression. Claire also has over 20 years in educational settings, from Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) to post 16 Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG).

With a strong focus on person-centred support, Claire works closely with colleagues and partner organisations to help participants access the right opportunities, guidance, and resources. She is particularly passionate about empowering people who may face additional challenges, supporting them by building confidence, raising aspirations, and moving towards positive outcomes.

Claire prides herself on building trusting, supportive relationships and ensuring every participant feels heard and valued. Her approachable, empathetic style helps create a positive experience that enables individuals to fully engage and make meaningful progress.
