Jason Horne is an experienced primary mathematics specialist, bringing over a decade of experience in classroom teaching and deep subject expertise to his advisory role. His work focuses on strengthening teaching, learning, and assessment in mathematics so that all pupils can make meaningful progress.

Jason’s background includes extensive support for schools in statutory and school‑level assessment, as well as in the moderation processes that underpin accurate and consistent judgements. He is known for offering clear, practical guidance that helps teachers develop confidence in both their pedagogy and their assessment approaches.

In 2015, Jason trained as one of the early cohorts of Primary Mastery Specialists, contributing to the development of mastery practice as it gained traction nationally. In 2016, he was selected for the Shanghai Teacher Exchange, where he explored internationally recognised mathematics pedagogy and brought those insights back to support schools in improving classroom practice.

Jason’s work centres on helping schools implement effective, sustainable assessment strategies and ensuring that all children receive high‑quality mathematics teaching that supports their understanding and achievement.
