Jessica is a dedicated professional in the field of supported employment, working as an Employment Support Officer with The Education People across Kent since January 2025.

In this role, she provides 1:1 advice and guidance to individuals seeking employment and other opportunities, ensuring a person-centred approach by assessing needs, goals, and milestones. She develops and monitors tailored action plans, manages a significant caseload, and uses vocational profiling to identify suitable job matches aligned with individuals’ skills, abilities, and aspirations.

Jessica works closely with employers to secure inclusive opportunities, ensuring roles are appropriately evaluated and risk assessed in line with safeguarding practices. She also provides job coaching, supporting individuals to perform their roles effectively while building independence and confidence. She holds a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism and is currently completing a Level 3 Certificate in Supported Employment with BASE, demonstrating her commitment to specialist practice in this field.

She brings a strong background in education, including senior leadership experience within a primary school and teaching across early years and Key Stage 1. Jessica also has a keen interest in communication accessibility and continues to develop her British Sign Language (BSL) skills, supported by previous experience working within a deaf provision.
