Suzanne has over 30 years’ experience working across the Early Years and childcare sector, holding a wide range of roles from practitioner and trainer to senior adviser. Her career began in schools as a classroom and special needs assistant before moving on to establish and manage her own early years provision. Since then, Suzanne has combined hands-on experience with advisory, training, and quality improvement work both in Kent and internationally.

As the owner and manager of a successful PVI setting for over a decade, Suzanne developed a deep understanding of leadership, pedagogy, and the challenges faced by early years providers. Alongside this, she worked as a tutor and assessor, supporting adults to achieve Early Years qualifications up to Level 4. This passion for professional development continued when she founded and ran her own training and assessment centre, delivering NVQs, assessor awards, and even supporting international schools in Italy with Early Years qualifications.

In 2010, Suzanne joined Kent County Council as an Early Years Teaching and Learning Adviser, later specialising in out of school and early years provision. Since 2015 she has held senior adviser roles with The Education People, providing strategic support, quality improvement, and professional development to early years and childcare settings across the county. In 2025, she moved into her current role as Senior Early Years and Childcare Quality Adviser, where she continues to champion high standards and improved outcomes for children.

With a career spanning practice, leadership, training, and advisory roles, Suzanne brings extensive expertise, a practical understanding of the sector, and a commitment to raising the quality of Early Years provision. Contact Suzanne below to find out how she can support your setting.
