The Education People are helping to promote the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme to families across Kent on behalf of Kent County Council.
Eligible families in Thanet can access free holiday clubs offering fun activities and healthy meals for children during school holidays.

At Sports Connect we are delighted to run the Holiday Activities and Food programme during every major school holidays in partnership with KCC, The Education People and Kent Children and Young People organisations.
Our focus is on sport, physical activity, and health sessions and these are held at three Sports Connect sites, located in Aylesford, Sittingbourne & Margate. We have a timetable that encompasses some structured activities to aid development of learning the skills associated with the different activities as well as free time to allow children to explore their imagination and play. Alongside our sport and physical activity offer we also provide opportunities for arts and crafts which gives the children an opportunity to learn new skills. This element may be carried out indoors or outdoors depending on the weather and activity.

The Young people attending will be able to try out Scootering, Skateboarding & Climbing. Water and Fruit will be available throughout the day as well as hot meals and snacks. During the summer period the skatepark can be warm so short sleeved clothing is ideal. All hire equipment is provided but if you have your own gear, you are welcome to bring it along. We are proud to offer a programme like no other in our area. Young people that attend our HAF programme will get the chance to try Skateboarding, Scootering and Climbing.

We are delighted to be running the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme this summer, offering a safe, fun and welcoming space for children during the school holidays. Each day is packed with a wide variety of activities — from sporting activities such as cricket, hockey, dodgeball, basketball, archery and more, arts and crafts, nerf wars and creative activities — ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We also provide a chill out zone with board games and quieter activities for children who want to relax with friends. All children receive a healthy snack on arrival, drinks throughout the day, and a hot, nutritious lunch courtesy of The Cow Shed.
Please ensure your child comes in comfortable clothing with suitable footwear, a jacket, sunhat and a water bottle. If your child has any medical conditions, dietary needs or requires additional support, let us know via text or email before the programme starts so we can plan accordingly. Holiday Club in St Peter's Recreation Ground, Broadstairs. Priority will be given to children and young people living in CT10. Arts and Crafts, Sports and Games, cooking, lunch, family support/referrals. Under 10's must be accompanied by a parent/carer. Most activities are outside in a public park.

Baypoint Sports CIC offers a vibrant summer HAF camp designed to provide fun, engaging, and educational activities for children. Our camp features a diverse range of activities including seasonal Arts and Crafts, Yoga, Forest School experiences, Football, Basketball, Dodgeball, Athletics, Badminton, Circuits, and much more.
We also host exciting external visits and workshops from local organisations such as Kent Fire Brigade, Wild Classroom, RNLI, Canterbury Christ Church University's STEM Hub, Tescos, Kent Police, St Johns Ambulance, Thanet Music Centre, Kent Wildlife Trust, and more.
To ensure the well-being and energy of our attendees, we serve all children nutritious hot meals and snacks throughout the camp. Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment where children can explore, learn, make friends and have fun during their summer breaks.
