This training has been produced by the LADO Education Safeguarding Advisory Service to support Designated Safeguarding Leads in schools and early years settings to understand their role and responsibilities with regards to keeping “detailed, accurate, secure written records of concerns and referrals”.

  • The current version of this course is in line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ 2025.

  • To understand the importance of effective record keeping within the current legislative framework.

  • To explore potential implications of data protection legislation and UK GDPR on record keeping approaches.
