About this course
Great skills with Communication and Relationships
This active and engaging day will explore the building blocks of effective communication. It will examine the communication differences and preferences in autism. Through focusing on the way that communication is affected in autism you will learn how to enhance motivation and learning in this area.
The course will equip you with an overview of tools and techniques that will maximise communication with children and young people and adults with autism.
The course makes use of case studies, discussion, video and a host of learning techniques that will transform your understanding and practice in relation to autism and communication.

At the end of the course you will:
- understand the communication differences in autism
- know how to use the visual strengths in autism to enhance communication
- have positive ideas about how to foster communication skills and enhance motivation
