About this course

Participants will understand the importance of executive functioning and be able to identify it being demonstrated by children in their provision. They will be able to consider how to support the development of Executive functioning through everyday practice.

What you'll take away

  • This training will focus on exploring the important role of Executive Functioning in children’s learning, development and progression in cognitive skills.

  • Identified by the DfE and OFSTED as a critical aspect of ensuring children’s development and ensuring good outcomes. It requires specific awareness and support in order to be facilitated in young children.

  • This session will discuss the evidence behind its importance and provide practical strategies to identity and support them.
