Introduction to School Finance for Headteachers

Brief overview

This course is aimed at newly appointed Headteachers, or for those Headteacher who would like a refresher on the financial processes and procedures that schools must follow.  The course will enable delegates to gain a good understanding of school finance and their responsibilities as a Headteacher.

This course will include demonstrations and practise on the information Headteachers are required to sign for.  Procedures will be linked to the KCC Financial Controls and the School's Model Finance Policy.

The morning will concentrate on the importance of the authorisation of financial documents providing a practical introduction to the information Headteachers have to take responsibility for and why there must be the proper financial procedures and processes in place.

Delegates will be required to bring along a copy of their School's Finance Policy.
