The Governing Bodies Terms of Reference (Committee Model) resource is for LA maintained schools.

Our model terms of reference are produced to support the board to fully understand their duties and responsibilities. Whilst the governing body as a whole remains responsible for the governance function, in this model document there are two distinct areas of work delegated by the board to a curriculum and learning committee and finance, resources and personnel committee.

Our model document has been prepared in such a way that tasks may be ticked off once completed. Our model documents can be personalised to suit your board’s requirements and also includes guidance for the three statutory link roles of SEND, Safeguarding, Careers link governors, and the Health & Safety link governor.
